The human heart craves liberty. Americans know what it means to fight for it, die for it, march for it, and live in the enjoyment of it. But are we really free? Can you say for certain that you are free from the bondage of sin and the fear of death? 2 Pet. 2:19 says, “…promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.” Have you broken His commandments (Ex. 20:3-17). For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23).
