The Gospel Echoes Through Kampala Marketplace
While serving on mission in Uganda, our team traveled to the bustling Kampala Marketplace, surrounded by Muslim-owned businesses and filled with thousands of people from every walk of life.
By God's grace, we had the privilege of publicly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in both English and Luganda. As the Word of God was preached, many stopped to listen with great attentiveness. It was a joy to watch Pastor James boldly lift up his voice and faithfully proclaim Christ to his own people in their native language.
Throughout the day, the Lord opened many opportunities for personal Gospel conversations:
• David admitted he had been trusting in his own goodness.
• Stephanie confessed she did not know how to be saved.
• Farooq, a Muslim, shared that he had once been "almost a Christian" before turning to Islam after experiencing heartbreak. He listened carefully to the Gospel, understood what he heard, but was not yet ready to repent and trust in Christ.
Please join us in praying for Farooq, that God would soften his heart, grant him repentance, and draw him to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Many Gospel tracts were distributed, several Bibles were given away, and the message of the cross was proclaimed boldly throughout the marketplace.
Soli Deo Gloria.
Romans 10:14–15
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed?... How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!
