Originally, we had planned to preach in San Bernardino, but we felt led to change plans and go to Redlands instead. As Proverbs 16:9 says:"The mind of a person plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps." We stood outside a promenade with bars and restaurants, lifting our voices to preach the Gospel of repentance and faith in Christ. Encounters & Conversations Seventh-Day Adventist Opposition – Right as we arrived, a false Seventh-Day Adventist attempted to distract and discourage us from preaching. But by God’s grace, we stood firm, proclaiming the truth of Christ’s atonement and salvation by grace alone. Preaching Christ at Christmas – With Christmas just a couple of weeks away, we reminded those walking past and listening that it is a time to reflect on why Christ came: He came to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). He was born to die for His elect (John 10:11). He laid down His life for His sheep (John 10:15). Divine Confirmation – As we preached, a couple approached us asking for prayer. They confessed to being Christians and shared something incredible: the park in San Bernardino, where we originally planned to preach, had just been cleared out. God had ordained for us to be in Redlands that night! * Teenagers Encouraged by the Word – A group of teenagers stood behind us, listening the entire time. As we wrapped up, they clapped, moved by what they had heard. Many Tracts Distributed – Pray for Souls! Many tracts went forth that night—pray that God would save those who heard the message and received a tract. It was a blessing to proclaim Christ in Redlands that night.
