Equipping A Christian To Effectively Share The Gospel At LMU

Landon Thurman and Corbin Herrman made a trip to Loyal Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA, to spread the Gospel among the students on campus. They set up a table filled with Gospel Tracts, Bibles, and other resources and started engaging with people. Anthony, a professing Christian, approached them after receiving a Gospel tract from Corbin. He was curious about the ministry, and they started talking about faith and beliefs. They asked Anthony if he would be interested in running through the evangelism survey to understand his beliefs and where he places his trust. They wanted to challenge him with questions to draw a deeper understanding of where he stands. Anthony agreed to be filmed, and they ran through the questions. They discovered that Anthony was a brother in Christ who agreed that no one deserves to be in Heaven and that all have sinned, breaking the commandments of God. However, when they put him on the spot to share the Gospel with Corbin in a hypothetical scenario, he struggled to articulate it. They asked him what he would say if someone shot Corbin in the chest, and was dying as an atheist with only three minutes to live. They hoped to encourage him to think about how he would share the truth of the Gospel with those around him. At the end of the conversation, Landon reminded Anthony that they must always start with the law of God. They should never give the antidote without first diagnosing why they need it. From there we point to the Savior and what Christ has done for those who are His. The video is meant to encourage people to get into Gospel conversations and engage with others to understand biblical Christian beliefs better, especially those who express to be Christian.
