PATHWAY CITY CHURCH

EVANGELISM & APOLOGETICS CONFERENCE

Equipping the Church to Proclaim Christ, Defend the Faith, and Engage the Lost

Testimonies of God had the privilege of joining Pathway City Church in Garland, Texas, for a multi-session Evangelism & Apologetics Conference focused on equipping believers to faithfully proclaim the Gospel and engage the worldviews they encounter in everyday evangelism.

Over the course of the conference, we worked through the biblical foundations of evangelism, practical Gospel proclamation, presuppositional apologetics, world religions, false systems of Christianity, and the challenge of reaching Muslims with the truth of Jesus Christ.

Our goal throughout the conference was not merely to give Christians more information.

It was to equip believers to know what they believe, know why they believe it, and boldly communicate the Gospel to the lost.

“But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and fear.”— 1 Peter 3:15

EVANGELISM & APOLOGETICS CONFERENCE

Topics include:

  • Why Christians evangelize

  • God's Law and the knowledge of sin

  • Judgment and eternity

The goal is not to create professional evangelists, but to encourage ordinary Christians to faithfully obey Christ wherever God has placed them.

02 - Apologetics Deep Dive

APOLOGETICS & WORLD RELIGIONS

Every evangelistic encounter takes place between two competing worldviews.

Whether we are speaking with an atheist, Roman Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, Muslim, New Age adherent, or someone who simply believes that all religions lead to God, the foundational issue is ultimately one of authority and truth.

Rather than attempting to memorize an answer to every possible objection, this curriculum teaches believers how to identify the foundations upon which another worldview is built.

Throughout the training, we repeatedly return to four diagnostic questions:

WHAT IS YOUR AUTHORITY?

What determines what is ultimately true?

Is it Scripture? Religious tradition? A prophet? An institution? Personal experience? Human reason?

WHO IS GOD?

Is God the Triune Creator revealed in Scripture, or has another worldview redefined His nature?

WHO IS JESUS?

Is Jesus the eternal Son of God, God incarnate, crucified and risen—or merely a prophet, created being, teacher, or religious figure?

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

How can guilty sinners be reconciled to a holy God?

Is salvation accomplished entirely through the finished work of Christ, or does the system ultimately require human works, religious rituals, institutional membership, law keeping, or personal merit?

Using these questions allows Christians to move beyond surface-level objections and examine the worldview underneath them.

The curriculum addresses major belief systems and objections encountered in evangelism, including:

  • Roman Catholicism

  • Eastern Orthodoxy

  • Jehovah's Witnesses

  • Mormonism

  • Hebrew Roots and Hebrew Israelism

  • New Age spirituality

  • Atheism

  • Objective truth

  • Science and Christianity

  • The problem of evil

  • Religious pluralism

  • The reliability and authority of Scripture

  • The deity of Jesus Christ

  • Presuppositional apologetics

The purpose of apologetics is never simply to win an argument.

Apologetics serves evangelism.

We expose false foundations so that we can point people to the truth of God's Word and ultimately to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Apologetics Deep Dive Curriculum — FREE

Equip yourself, your church, or your ministry to defend the Christian faith with biblical conviction, engage competing worldviews thoughtfully, and direct apologetic conversations toward Jesus Christ and His Gospel.

The Apologetics Deep Dive Curriculum from Testimonies of God is a comprehensive digital training resource designed to help believers recognize false teaching, uncover the foundational assumptions behind different belief systems, answer objections with Scripture, and proclaim Christ with clarity and compassion.

Built around the practical framework Listen, Expose, and Proclaim, the curriculum teaches participants to understand what a person believes, expose internal inconsistencies and errors through the truth of God’s Word, and use the conversation as a bridge to the Gospel. It emphasizes that apologetics is not merely about winning arguments—the ultimate aim is to make Christ known to people who desperately need Him.

The curriculum examines the biblical foundation of apologetics, presuppositional apologetics, the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, the heart behind false religion, and practical questions for evaluating any worldview. It also provides focused teaching on Roman Catholicism, Eastern and Oriental Orthodoxy, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Latter-day Saints, Seventh-day Adventism, the International Churches of Christ, the World Mission Society Church of God, Black Hebrew Israelism, Oneness Pentecostalism, Judaism, Hinduism, mysticism, New Age spirituality, atheism, skepticism, and the modern secular mind.

Throughout the presentation, participants learn to evaluate every belief system by asking essential questions: Who is God? Who is Jesus? What is the Gospel? What authority defines truth? How is a sinner made right with God? The curriculum then demonstrates how to answer these questions biblically and bring each conversation back to the identity, finished work, supremacy, and sufficiency of Jesus Christ.

The free download includes the complete presentation in multiple formats and a reusable Presenter Guide containing detailed slide-by-slide teaching notes, key Scriptures, instructional purposes, and practical teaching emphasis.

03 - EXAMINING ISLAM

Reaching Muslims With the Gospel

Islam represents one of the largest missionary fields in the world, and increasingly Christians are encountering Muslim neighbors, coworkers, students, and communities right here in the United States.

Yet many believers feel unprepared to engage Muslims because they know very little about Islam or fear saying the wrong thing.

This curriculum was designed to give Christians a practical biblical framework for understanding Islamic beliefs while keeping the evangelistic conversation centered upon authority, Christ, sin, and the Gospel.

Topics include:

  • What Muslims believe about Allah

  • Muhammad and prophetic authority

  • The Qur'an

  • The Hadith

  • Islamic views of Jesus

  • The denial of the Trinity

  • The denial of Christ's crucifixion

  • Salvation and works in Islam

  • The Islamic view of the Bible

  • The claim that the Scriptures were corrupted

  • The Qur'an's statements regarding the Torah and Gospel

  • The Islamic Dilemma

  • The historical reliability of the Gospel

  • Isaiah 53 and substitutionary atonement

  • The deity of Christ

  • The crucifixion and resurrection

  • Presuppositional engagement with Islamic authority

  • Questions to ask Muslims

  • How to transition from apologetics to the Gospel

The objective is not simply to teach Christians how to debate Islam. It is to help believers love Muslims enough to tell them the truth about Jesus Christ. Muslims do not merely need arguments against Muhammad or the Quran. They need the same thing every sinner needs: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Examining Islam Curriculum — FREE

Equip yourself, your church, or your ministry to understand the foundational teachings of Islam, examine its truth claims through Scripture, and engage Muslim neighbors with biblical clarity, conviction, and compassion.

The Examining Islam Curriculum from Testimonies of God is a comprehensive digital training resource designed to help believers understand what Muslims believe, evaluate the authority and revelation claims of Islam, answer common Islamic objections, and direct conversations toward Jesus Christ and His Gospel.

The curriculum begins by introducing essential Islamic terms and beliefs, including Allah, Muhammad, the Quran, Tawhid, submission, the Ummah, and final judgment. It then applies a biblical apologetic method built around three practical actions: Listen, Expose, and Proclaim. Participants are encouraged to listen carefully to what an individual Muslim believes, expose foundational inconsistencies through the truth of God’s Word, and proclaim Christ without compromising Scripture.

Using four central diagnostic questions, the curriculum examines Islam’s teaching concerning authority, Jesus, the Gospel, and the identity of God. It explores the Quran’s affirmation of previous revelation, the Islamic dilemma concerning the preservation or alleged corruption of the Bible, the historical transmission of Scripture before Muhammad, and the biblical standards for testing anyone who claims to speak for God.

The presentation also compares Muhammad’s message with prior biblical revelation, examines the Islamic understanding of justification and the scales of good and evil deeds, considers claims concerning the Quran’s preservation and Uthman’s standardization, and reviews selected claims and internal tensions found within Islamic sources.

The final section brings the material into practical evangelistic application. Participants learn to begin with thoughtful questions, avoid overwhelming people with too many arguments, and use three memorable bridges—revelation, Christ, and justice—to move the conversation toward the biblical Gospel.

The free download includes the complete presentation in multiple formats and a reusable Presenter Guide containing detailed slide-by-slide teaching notes, key Scriptures, instructional purposes, and practical teaching emphasis.

Whether you are preparing for conversations with Muslim friends and neighbors, training an outreach team, teaching an apologetics class, leading a small group, or seeking to understand Islam more accurately, this curriculum is designed to help you speak the truth in love, defend the authority of Scripture, and proclaim the eternal Son of God as the only sufficient Savior.
